The new Olympus I purchased to replace my 10-year old digital Olympus camera finally arrived this morning. Taking photos of this grow should produce better results, once I find my way around using its many features. So please bear with me as I get up to speed in the next few posts.
I thought it would be interesting to see the growth that's taken place since the first photos were taken of this grow. So to start, below are shots of the grow room when the plants were first set under the Pro Grow 550 watt LED light, and then... a shot of the plants today after about two weeks and five days under the light.
First Day Under Pro Grow LED
This photo was taken shortly after my buddy, Donald, and I hung the new Pro Grow 550w light. The light is adjusted to hang 22 inches above the plant canopy.
I believe the exact date here is October 20th.
The plants got a couple days to adjust to the new light. Then, they got complete darkness for 36 hours, before flipping them to 12/12 on October 24th.
Two Weeks Later
As of today, these plants have enjoyed 2 weeks and 4 days under this new LED light. They're also 10 days into the flowering cycle.
Even without viewing either photo in enlarged mode, the new growth shown in this photo is fairly evident.
FYI - the height of the light has NOT been changed since first hanging it. It looks like it's time to readjust the light, though. Now that the overall canopy has stretched upwards, there's less than a foot clearance from some of the plants. I'll move it to attain ~ 20 inches of clearance above the canopy again.
So far, so good. I just LOVE watching my healthy girls growing, and growing, and growing... Look out for the next update to this grow journal.
